Your safety as a member of the Chatham community is one of the University's primary concerns. We are proud of our safety record, but no campus is totally crime free. The Chatham community is encouraged to stay alert, to use common sense, and to not hesitate to ask for help if you need it. 社区 members can also call 412-365-1230 to speak with Chatham Public Safety.

Free Pittsburgh Public Transportation

Students can ride Pittsburgh Regional Transit buses for free by tapping their Chatham ID to board any PRT bus or light rail vehicle (even the Monongahela Incline) for rides to downtown Pittsburgh and nearly all areas of Allegheny County.

Parking Regulations

All qualified Chatham University community members are eligible for parking permits and must complete an online parking permit application prior to purchasing. We encourage commuters to share rides with a permit holder to reduce campus traffic and facilitate smoother commutes. Please note new students who live in University 住房 on the Shadyside Campus are not permitted to have a car on campus for their first year at Chatham.
